GLAN LLYN CHILD SAFETY WEEK SIGN COMPETITION

This summer, Glan Llyn Primary School hosted a week of educational events focused around child safety.

As part of the week, students aged 4-11 were invited to design a sign to help inform the community about road safety.

The judges were impressed by the quality and creativity of the designs and this made choosing a winner a challenge.  Here are some of the brilliant submissions:

These designs stood out for their inclusion of both English and Welsh languages.  The central message in both languages is the phrase ’20 is plenty’.  Sticking with the rhyming theme, our judges loved this entry:

A simple message, delivered clearly.  It has all the hallmarks of great design.

But, as with all competitions, there have to be winners – and this is no different.  So without further ado, St. Modwen is pleased to announce the winners of the Glan Llyn Child Safety Week sign competition.

The winning entries

The tortoise design does exactly what it says on the tin: Tortoises go slow, you should too!

Another globe-centric design certainly went down well with the judges who were impressed with the artistic skills on show.

Finally, the composition of this design is fantastic and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into it.

Thank you again to everyone who entered the competition, you produced some great work that we loved considering – picking a winner was quite a challenge!

Keep an eye out for the winning entries, which are now displayed around Glan Llyn.

Make sure you follow all the submissions’ instructions and be careful driving around Glan Llyn. It helps protect everyone at the development.

Kind regards
