FIRSTPORT

FirstPort is the managing agent at Glan Llyn, responsible for ensuring the development is safe, well-maintained and well-serviced.

It manages the communal areas including the Western Park, shared amenities and facilities, and supports on community events and initiatives. Residents can contact FirstPort on bespokehelp@firstport.co.uk.

You can stay up to date with the latest activity on site, manage your payments, and quickly and easily raise any repairs through the MyHome platform.

POBL

The Shared Ownership homes at Locke Gardens are managed by Pobl. Residents can contact the team on info@poblgroup.co.uk.

GLAN LLYN WILDLIFE TRAIL

At Glan Llyn, we are very lucky to benefit from the variety of landscapes and amenity areas.

We have celebrated the natural setting and wildlife by creating this nature trail for our junior nature enthusiasts.

We also collaborate with Gwent Wildlife Trust, the leading conservation organisation in Gwent, on initiatives such as wildlife walks and workshops for residents.

THE GLAN LLYN WORKING GROUP

We have set up a new Working Group with residents to serve as the voice of the community at Glan Llyn, representing your views to us.

The Working Group meet regularly to discuss matters important to residents and ideas for the future of Glan Llyn, and share these with St. Modwen and FirstPort (your managing agent).

The members are Rachel Willetts, Dave Clemo, John Deacon and Michael Donegan. The group has ambitions to protect local wildlife and nature, and wants to work with the community to make Glan Llyn a wonderful place to live.

AN AWARD WINNING COMMUNITY

We are enormously proud that Glan Llyn has been recognised for what has been delivered to date, and the thriving community that is being formed here in two prestigious awards.

At the Brownfield Awards 2022, Glan Llyn was awarded ‘Best biodiversity enhancement on a brownfield project’, recognising the progress that is being made to transform the development from the former steelworks site into a wildlife-rich and sustainable community.

Glan Llyn was also recognised at the Housebuilder Awards 2022 where it was crowned ‘Best regeneration initiative’. As well as telling the story of what has been achieved on site, we shared how you as a community have taken part in events such as workshops with the Gwent Wildlife Trust, the Queen’s Green Canopy planting, Jubilee celebrations and gardening competitions, as well as the Glan Llyn Working Group that has been formed to help shape the future of this community.

This recognition would not have been possible without the contribution you make as a community. A huge thank you from us all at St. Modwen for your support, involvement, and participation in making Glan Llyn what it is today.
